That’s a tough one. 🙂 Choosing the “best” specialty coffee shop in Munich is always subjective, but there are a few cafés that consistently stand out for exceptional espresso, clean filter brews, and overall quality. Spots like Kanso Coffee Lab, Sweet Spot Coffee, and Café Faber are regularly among the top recommendations for specialty coffee lovers in Munich.

I’d almost say the top spot goes to Café Faber. Here you not only get one of the best breakfasts in town, but also excellent homemade cakes. If you’re looking for outstanding baked goods, then Coffee Twins is easily my number one. Their pastries and bakery items are some of the best you’ll find in Munich’s specialty coffee scene.

For me, the number one spot is Sweet Spot — they offer an impressive rotating selection of beans from some of the best roasters, with new options almost every week. But you’ll also find excellent choices at Man vs Machine and Stray Coffee.
Stray has even started its own roasting operation recently, and many see them as a rising star in Munich’s specialty coffee scene.

Oh Coffee and Café Faber offer reliable Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and a calm atmosphere, making them ideal for getting work done.

Specialists like Sweet Spot and Kanso Coffee Lab serve some of the cleanest and most expressive filter brews in the city.
